DE International Wellbeing Support Service

The wellbeing of our international students is our number one priority. To ensure our students have access to the support they need, we’ve partnered with Medibank to offer the DE International Wellbeing Support Service. The service includes a 24/7 phone line and a referral service.

For enquiries related to the DE International Wellbeing Support Service, please email DE International via wellbeing.dei@det.nsw.edu.au

Please note, this service is not for use in emergency situations. In an emergency, call triple zero (000).

Medibank 24/7 Student Health and Support Line

1800 887 283 (within Australia) or +61 2 8905 0307 (international).

Students can call the health and support line to speak to a registered nurse or qualified counsellor, who can provide professional support for students experiencing loneliness, study pressure, adjusting to a new country, anxiety or depression. Medibank's trained staff will triage the student's needs and provide health system navigation and support to help them find a doctor, psychologist and hospitals nearby so they get the right support when they need it.

Outbound Referral Service

The outbound referral service has been designed to assist students requiring additional support. Referred students receive a call from a psychologist of up to one hour and up to four follow up calls of approximately 30 minutes each. Outbound support calls are made between 3pm and 6pm and an interpreting service is available for students during the calls. Students can be referred for outbound support through our online referral form.
