SpecFest 2018

DE International was the Principal Partner of SpecFest in 2018 and it was ‘The Greatest’.

SpecFest was launched in 2016 and is held in the plaza outside Qudos Bank Arena where the Schools Spectacular performance takes place. This year there was an exciting line-up of pre-show entertainment and activities including a sports zone, movies, LEGO robotics, wildlife, a reading and relaxation zone with musicians and other entertainers mingling with the crowd.

The DE International booths were very popular and in particular the Virtual Reality (VR) experience drew large crowds of people queuing to try the VR goggles. Participants were able to take a virtual tour of a school by visiting classrooms, joining students in study groups and even becoming part of Vivid Sydney 2018.

As well as the VR experience, visitors were drawn to our friendly DE International staff who chatted about international students in our schools and communities and about study tours visiting schools.
